“Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.”
Isaiah 46:9

When you don’t want to do a particular something, remember the gospel…Jesus didn’t want to do a particular something too (Matthew 26:39).
Thankfully Jesus obediently and willingly chose the gospel, a “particular something” he didn’t want to do, and He wants us to remember the gospel so that we can endure whatever comes our way too (Hebrews 10:36).
Whatever you have gone, are going or will go through, Jesus has too (Hebrews 2:18, 4:15). He understands you like no other and wants to meet you right where you are at. Meeting with Jesus doesn’t mean your circumstances change, but you can be assured that under His sovereign care, He has you in the palm of His hands and everything is going according to His perfect will (Isaiah 49:16, Romans 8:28-29).
So my friend, the next time you [fill in the blank], remember the gospel…Jesus [fill in the blank] too.
